Model Systems Training
We provide training in-house. We do not offer a public training programme, although we are happy to collaborate if a client wants to host a course or series of courses, and share the cost with other organizations. We can also arrange off-site presentation (e.g. in a conference centre or hotel) if on-site facilities are not available.
Our training materials are in English. Our Swiss partner KnowGravity can present many of our courses in German, if required (usually with course materials in English).

Zachman Framework - Architect Mentoring
Our Zachman Architect mentoring programme supports our customers' internal architecture groups as they build up experience, confidence, methodology and standards. it has four stages:
- Initial investigation and delivery plan (elapsed time 4 - 6 week)
- Building up initial specification of artefacts, standards and methodology, based on our tempaltes (elapsed time 2 - 4 months)
- Trial projects (6 - 12 months)
- On-demand support (as required)
The emphasis is on the in-house architects doing the work, with coaching and mentoring from Model Ssytems. Requirements for support vary from company to company, but 4 -6 days per month during the second and thrid stages is a reasonable first estimate.
SSADM
We can provide a range of in-house SSADM training - see our SSADM page
Materials
Materials include: copies of OHP slides, supporting tutorial notes, exercises and solutions. If we are training your trainers, we also provide instructor notes. We can "top and tail" material to fit your house presentation style, e.g. introductory chapter, references to in-house standards, page headers and footers, glossary.
We are also developing self-study modules for some of the courses.
Adaptation and Development
We can present our standard material. Alternatively we can undertake training development for you:
- Adapting or extending our standard material to meet your requirements - e.g. using your terminology, replacing examples and exercises so that they are relevant to your business domain, conforming with your existing standards for techniques, technologies, tools and end-product specifications.
- Developing new material to meet your requirements.
